Beautiful location by the river. Requires a walk along a narrow, stoney footpath next to the river, so may not be accessible to everyone. You have to leave your car in the village, so very limited parking. The lanes are very narrow in the Cornwall countryside, so take care of walkers, horses and bikes. Best to book if you have a group as this is in a garden, so not many tables. Great food and friendly owners!

Beautiful simple cafe perched above the river with amazing views. Friendly and prompt service. Cream tea was exceptional with a huge scone, lashings of cream and jam and plenty of tea. A generous and warm hearted place. If only there were more cafes like this!

What an amazing little find. Took my mother-in-law for a Sunday meal and had the shared ploughman’s. It was enough for 4 people and the quality of the ingredients and price was superb. Beautiful views, lovely sun trapped tables with other shaded options. The menu is small but perfect and complete, with incredibly generous portions. An easy place to get food envy. I would highly recommend and I can’t believe I’ve not been here before only living 10mins away on Truro. Thank you for a gorgeous meal and drinks.

Hidden gem! Check the tide—if it’s low, the up-and-down path is half the adventure. Friendly owners, gorgeous breakfast, and a riverside view so calm you’ll forget the clock.
